GTA V Graphics Mods Tier List

Graphics mods can completely change the way GTA V looks. Some focus on realistic lighting and reflections, others try to keep good performance while still improving the visuals.

Below are the most popular graphics packs and shaders currently used by the community, ranked by visuals, popularity, and overall experience.

1. NaturalVision Evolved (NVE)

NVE is still considered the best-looking graphics pack for GTA V overall. Lighting, reflections, shadows, and weather effects are on another level compared to vanilla.

The mod looks especially good in scenes with a lot of reflections and wet surfaces, which is one of the main reasons why so many cinematic videos use it.

The only real downside is performance. It can be pretty heavy on FPS.

2. QuantV

QuantV is probably the most popular alternative to NVE. It still looks very modern, but usually runs better and feels less demanding overall.

Compared to NVE, QuantV has a more cinematic style with stronger colors and brighter reflections, especially at night.

3. VisualV

VisualV keeps the original GTA V style but improves almost every part of it. Better lighting, cleaner colors, improved weather, and better visibility without changing the game too much.

It’s also one of the best optimized graphics mods available, which is why it’s still very popular.

If you want the game to look cleaner without losing a lot of FPS, VisualV is usually the safest choice.

4. Redux

Redux is a much heavier overhaul compared to VisualV or QuantV. Besides graphics, it also changes textures, particles, weather, and some gameplay-related effects.

The mod is known for strong shadows, dense weather, aggressive sharpening, and a darker cinematic style overall. It looks especially good in scenes with wet roads, reflections, fog, and heavy lighting.

5.ReShade

ReShade isn’t a graphics pack by itself. It’s more of an extra layer that adds sharpening, color correction, ambient lighting, reflections, bloom, and other post-processing effects.

Most realistic GTA V screenshots use ReShade together with another graphics mod like NVE or QuantV.

A good preset can improve the visuals a lot, especially during rain or scenes with strong reflections.

6.PRSA

PRSA focuses more on realistic lighting and atmosphere instead of making the game look overly cinematic. Colors are more neutral, lighting is softer, and the overall image feels cleaner compared to mods like Redux.

It became popular mainly because a lot of people combined it with ReShade and ENB presets for more realistic-looking gameplay.

Summary

At the end of the day, all of these graphics mods are great in their own way, and the best one mostly comes down to personal preference. Some players prefer realistic visuals like NVE, while others care more about FPS, cleaner colors, or a more cinematic style.

No matter which one you choose, each of them can make GTA V look significantly better than vanilla.
